SERVICE TEAM LEADER

Location: Port Elizabeth

 

Job Purpose

  • Overriding objective is always to provide excellent customer service.
  • As a Team Leader of the department the individual will take full responsibility for developing and driving growth by securing service contract clients.
  • The person will also be responsible for ensuring quality of service and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction – is always the main objective
  • Develop working relationships with clients and actively pursue new clients
  • Co-ordinate department resources and prioritization
  • Manage effective systems to control time, cost and quality
  • Revenue generation and Invoicing
  • Control Routine Servicing Invoicing and targets and monthly management reporting on performance
  • Customer feedback, reporting, estimate, quote and follow up of items identified during servicing
  • Responsible for all routine service supervision of HVAC plant and equipment
  • Routine checks conducted on site of services
  • Maintain and determine warranty service requirements from contracts department
  • Control of Service Department resources including tools & equipment
  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment
  • Implement and Develop ISO 9001 principles and ensure conformance to the Quality Management System
  • Train and develop service staff in terms of company quality stands and technical skills required to perform tasks

Requirements

  • A minimum Technical Trade Qualification (Refrigeration, Electrical, Millwright)
  • Grade 12 or technical equivalent
  • Refrigeration and electrical experience essential particularly in fault finding and problem solving
  • Exceptional knowledge of Central HVAC Plant & Chillers required
  • Food and Pharmaceutical Industry experience an advantage
  • 5-7 years post trade test experience in the HVAC, refrigeration or maintenance industries
  • 3-5 years of experience in staff management, performance management and leadership and currently serving in technical supervisory role
  • Valid Driver's License: Code B
  • Good working knowledge of General Machinery Regulations
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Power Point-proficient

Goals

  • Develop good working relationships with clients and staff
  • Add Value to the client’s operations
  • Secure additional clients on monthly service level agreements
  • Ensure performance exceeds client’s expectations, secures ongoing contracts and ensures sustainable long term relationships
  • Ensure all HVAC warranty services are completed

Package

  • The offer would be for a Total Cost to Company Package of per year.
  • The above includes the following
    • Basic monthly salary
    • Guaranteed bonus of 10% of annual salary in December.
    • 65% of your medical aid contributions paid by the company, limited to the benchmark.
    • 65% of your provident fund contributions paid by the company.
  • Included in the provident fund contribution the company provides a full death benefit of four times’ annual salary, as well as full disability benefit of 75% of your annual salary, until retirement age.
  • A Company vehicle to be used for work purposes and limited private use.
  • Subsidized Gym Membership, through Discovery Health (Virgin Active) and Viva Gym.
  • 15 days annual leave per year.
  • The Company will pay for any justifiable and relevant training and courses for professional development.
  • Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, but you will be required to work additional hours when required to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Normal working hours are 07:45 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:45 to 15:15 on Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • The contract would require a restraint of trade agreement.
